Mark Hitchcock: Israel’s Future Is Guaranteed — Romans 11

In Part 1, Romans 11 answered whether God has rejected Israel. In Part 2, Dr. Mark Hitchcock goes deeper into the mystery Paul reveals in verse 25: Israel’s hardening is not total and it is not permanent. When will it end? When the last Gentile in the church age comes to Christ. That moment triggers the rapture, closes the church age, and God resumes his program with Israel. Then, at the return of Christ, the Jewish people will look upon the one they pierced and a national conversion will take place. God regathered the Jewish people from 70 to 100 nations after 20 centuries of exile. Their language had died. Their nation had ceased to exist. And then God brought them back. That is not coincidence. That is a covenant-keeping God on track. If God does not keep his promises to Israel, we have no reason to believe he will keep his promises to us. But he will. And that is the most encouraging truth in Romans 11.
