Faith in the Midst of War | Remembering October 7th 2023

In front of our church, 1,200 Israeli flags ripple in the wind — each one symbolizing a precious life lost in the October 7th attacks. Pastor Phil stood among them to remind us that remembering is an act of compassion and faith. As followers of Christ, we grieve with those who grieve and lift our prayers for the land of Israel and for Gaza. We pray for the victims’ families, for those still held hostage, and for the innocent caught in the crossfire. We pray for victory over evil and for peace rooted not in politics but in the Prince of Peace — Jesus Christ. From Reno to Jerusalem, may the Church be a voice of truth, comfort, and hope
