President Trump recently confirmed on-camera that he called Prime Minister Netanyahu last month, urging him to refrain from striking Iranian nuclear targets while the talks over a new deal to replace the aborted JCPOA are underway. Trump reiterated his determination to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons – one way or the other – while giving the diplomatic route a chance. What Israel can therefore assume then, is that while it should work on perfecting its military capability, it should hold off on its will to employ it.
