Phil Mckay: Description of a Defiled Nation — Ezekiel 22-23

The general consensus is that we humans tend to think of ourselves as being good, and deserving of heaven, if such a place exists. This was the trap that the people of Judah had fallen into- a trap of prideful complacency. But God is enlisting Ezekiel to speak forth His message of the truth to them. And it’s not an easy pill to swallow, but God cares about the truth, and He will make sure that His people have the story straight as to why they are going to find themselves overrun by the Babylonians.
