Rapture: Hoax or Blessed Hope

The rapture doctrine seems to be constantly debated and attacked. People predict it will happen every year, and it seems even every month of the year. Yet, what does the Bible clearly say? Is it true that there will be a rapture, and if so, when will it take place? Is the rapture of the church the blessed hope or just a heartbreaking hoax?
