The jihadi terrorist turned President, Ahmad a-Shara, came to New York this week for his maiden speech at the UN general assembly, as well as meetings with world leaders and diplomats. During his less than 10-month tenure since his forces overthrew the Assad regime, a-Shara has tried to present a new, moderate Syria, which has included security talks with Israel. Regarding the latter, Prime Minister Netanyahu insisted that Israel’s priorities are the demilitarization of South-Western Syria, which borders the Golan Heights, and the protection of the Druze community in the Suwayda Governorate.
