Mark Hitchcock: Peace Before the Storm

Today I want to challenge a common misconception about the End Times— that the world will be in chaos when the Rapture occurs. In light of the remarkable peace negotiations happening around Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Hamas conflicts, we need to revisit what the Bible actually tells us. In 1 Thessalonians 5:1–3 Paul reveals that the Tribulation will begin when people are saying “peace and safety.” This means that rather than expecting global turmoil before the Rapture, we might actually see unprecedented peace efforts succeeding. The world could be living under the delusion that all is well when Christ suddenly returns for His Church. These current peace negotiations may be setting the stage for that brief period of false security before the Tribulation judgments begin.
